Grief
Psalm 119:50
50 This is my comfort and consolation in my affliction:
that Your word has revived me and given me life. (AMP)
Isaiah 41:10
10 Fear not [there is nothing to fear], for I am with you;
do not look around you in terror and be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen and harden you to difficulies, yes,
I will help you; yes, I will hold you up and retain you with My [victorious] right hand of rightness and justice. (AMP)
Isaiah 43:2
2 When you pass through the waters, I will be with you,
and through the rivers, they will not overwhelm you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned or scorched, nor
will the flame kindle upon you. (AMP)
Isaiah 49:13
13 Sing for joy, O heavens, and be joyful, O earth, and
break forth into singing, O mountains! For the Lord has comforted His people and will have compassion upon His afflicted.
(AMP)
Isaiah 51:11
11 [The Lord God says] And the redeemed of the Lord shall
return and come with singing to Zion; everlasting joy shall be upon their heads. They shall obtain joy and gladness, and sorrow
and sighing shall flee away. (AMP)
Matthew 5:4
4 Blessed and eviably happy [with a happiness produced by
the experience of God's favor and especially conditioned by the revelation of His matchless grace] are those who mourn, they
shall be comforted! (AMP)
1 Corinthians 15:55-57
55 O death, where is your victory? O death, where
is your sting?
56 Now sin is the sting of death, and sin exercises its power [upon the soul] through [the abuse of] the
Law. (AMP)
57 But thanks be to God, Who gives us the victory [making us conquerors] through our Lord Jesus Christ. (AMP)
2 Corinthians 1:3-4
3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus
Christ, The Father of sympathy (pity and mercy) and the God [Who is the Source] of every comfort (consolation and encouragement),
(AMP)
4 Who comforts (consoles and encourages) us in every trouble (calamity and affliction), so that we may also be able
to comfort (console and encourage) those who are in any kind of trouble or distress, with the comfort (consolation and encouragement)
with which we ourselves are comforted (consoled and encouraged) by God. (AMP)
2 Corinthians 5:8
8 [Yet] we have confident and hopeful courage and
are pleased rather to be away from home out of the body and be at home with the Lord. (AMP)
1 Thessalonians 4:13-14
13 Now also we would not have you ignorant,
brethren, about those who fall asleep [in death], that you may not grieve [for them] as the rest do who have no hope [beyond
the grave]. (AMP)
14 For since we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will also bring with Him through
Jesus those who have fallen asleep [in death]. (AMP)
2 Thessalonians 2:16-17
16 Now may our Lord Jesus Christ Himself and
God our Father, Who loved us and gave us everlasting consolation and encouragement and well-founded hope through [His] grace
(unmerited favor), (AMP)
17 Comfort and encourage your hearts and strengthen them [make them stedfast and keep them unswerving]
in every good work and word. (AMP)
Hebrews 4:15-16
15 For we do not have a High Priest Who is unable to
understand and sympathize and have shared feeling with our weaknesses and infirmities and liability to the assaults of temptation,
but One Who has been tempted in every respect as we are, yet without sinning. (AMP)
16 Let us then fearlessly and confidently
and boldy draw near to the throne of grace (the throne of God's unmerited favor to us sinners), that we may receive mercy
[for our failures] and find grace to help in good time for every need [appropriate help and well-timed help, coming just when
we need it]. (AMP)
1 Peter 5:7
7

cares for you affectionately and cares about you watchfully. (AMP)
Revelation 21:4
4 God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; and
death shall be no more, neither shall there be anguish (sorrow and mourning) nor grief nor pain any more, for the old conditions
and the former order of things have passed away. (AMP)
